Milestones in the life of a 4-year old!

I have not done a very good job of keeping up this blog, but I will try to do better. We have had a couple of great weeks with Hayden reaching some milestones in his little life. You can see by the pictures below, he learned to ride his bike without training wheels, caught his first fish, and is now skiing (his first set of learner skis) by himself. He loves the water and wants to go to the lake every night!

Spring Fling!

We went up to the mountains last week for a few days and had a great time! My sister and her family came up on Thursday evening and we went to the Dixie Stampede FOR THE THIRD TIME IN A YEAR!! Our little cowboy loves it !!
I am not sure what he is looking at, but he sure is intent....

My wonderful sister Julie and her husband Jeremy, (you are wonderful too Jeremy!)
Hayden and Sallie like to pretend they are parents so notice the baby doll in his arm.
They made several trips up and down the steps that evening, according to them, there was a bear upstairs.
Here they are taking a little road trip themselves and notice the baby safely buckled up in the back seat.
They decided to take ride on Jonathan.....
Hayden taking in all in.... I told him SEVERAL times to get out of the creek!
Kicked back enjoying his hotdog, without a hotdog on the bun!
He loves to ride horses and we have decided it is cheaper to take him to ride every once in a while than it is to own one! He and Daddy got to ride on Cloud.
Say goodbye to Tigger!!
While in the mountains, he got a new rope. Now Emily gets to be roped and rode!!
Hayden cracks me up lately by the way he stands. His hand is always on his hip, but if he has something to lean against, he will also cross his feet.
Hayden is trying to teach his big uncle, Nathan, how to ride, but you know how it is....you can't teach an old dog new tricks!! WE LOVE YOU NAY NAY!!
He is soooooo sneaky!!

We are very thankful for the blessings of life including our family and friends. We receive way more than we ever deserve and God's love, grace, and mercy are so wonderful! Have a great rest of the week!

SALUTE!!!!

We had a wonderful Easter and are very thankful for the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without Him, we would be nothing.

Happy Easter and May God Bless You!

We had to booster and freeze brand some heifers yesterday and Hayden was a great helper!
He tried out the headgate to make sure it was working!

Papaw has a baby calf he is feeding on a bottle and Hayden fed it today! I think he wants to bring it home with him Papaw!

This was a picture taken at his daycare Easter Progam. They were "Bullfrogs & Butterflies." It was really cute!

Here he is with his riding coach, Papaw, giving it another try.

Almost made it!! Poor Emily, she dreads seeing this kid coming!

I was cleaning out Hayden's closet last week and found this basket I was given at a baby shower. He decided to get in it and take a nap! We had a little trouble getting him into position.
Granny and Grandpa came and spent the night with us for Hayden's birthday party and he decided he was going to sleep with Granny downstairs. After he carried about 10 stuffed animals down there, he changed his mind and came back upstairs. Sorry Granny, you know how he changes his mind.

Hayden and Sallie are attempting to ride off into the sunset, but they didn't make it too far because they couldn't decide who was going to drive! Sallie went inside and brought a couple of babies out who apparently were their kids. They tried to put them into the boxes on the side of the motorcycle, but after they fell out and got ran over a few times, they gave up on taking the kids with them.

Happy 4th Birthday Hayden!

Hayden will be 4 years old tomorrow, March 31st and he had a birthday party Sunday afternoon with a few friends. Thanks everyone for the gifts, Hayden really appreciates them.

Simon, Sallie and Hayden are displaying the gardening tools that Granny and Grandpa got Hayden for this birthday. He loves to play in the garden, well really just in the dirt, anywhere it is.

If Simon continues to pull his teeth, he isn't going to have any left. He has pulled 4 of his front teeth!! He is so cute!

Owen and Hayden decided to take a break for a little while.

My little cowboy is another year older! What a blessing we have in our lives. He is truly a gift from God and we are thankful everyday for him. I am away from him at a conference right now and missing him very much. When I talked to him tonight on the phone, he started giving me his prayer requests and I at least got to say his prayers with him tonight. He and Jonathan are at Granny and Grandpa's tonight and he got to haul some cattle to the stock barn today so he is pretty happy. He is also having another party tomorrow! Happy Birthday Hayden, I love you with all my heart!

All In A Day's Work!

A couple of weekend's ago, Hayden went down to Granny and Grandpa's and spent of couple of days. As usual, he has a lot of farming to do while he is down there. He is digging up some "minerals" for his cows in this picture.

I just love this one! He is too cute!!

He fed Jet and Chief and was standing by taking it all in.

Like Father, like Son!

He is growing up so fast!
